Writing Class Instruction
Using the methods I learned in IEW teacher training, students will learn how to write through sequential, step-by-step instruction that builds confidence; leading them toward creativity, independence, and finding their own voice. Throughout the year, they will learn basic Grammar as applied to writing, how to gather and organize their research, and how to form a good paragraph. They will write stories, reports, and essays. They will use games, modeled writing, and hands-on projects to learn the skills involved in being an excellent writer. Homework is required. My classes are live teaching. I do not use videos to teach. High school writing classes offer half of a Language Arts credit.
