7th grade and Up
We will work on writing a story or a novel. Start a new story or bring one you are already writing. We will discuss conflict, characters, point of view, dialogue, flashbacks, humor, voice, and much much more. Assignments will be broad. Students required to write weekly. Bringing writing to class each week, participating in group activities and discussion, and demonstrating understanding of concepts and progress in skill level will determine grade. Basically, students will start with an A and it is up to them to keep it.
Student will earn one high school elective credit
Class meets at my home near Mardel (exact address will be given at registration)
Tuesdays 12:30 – 2:00pm
September 2 – May 5
Costs
- $35 a month (first month due upon registration)
- $5 registration fee (to hold spot)
- I accept cash, check and Venmo
- All deposits are non-refundable
Materials Required
- binder to transport homework
- pencils/pens for taking notes in class
- notebook OR notebook paper in binder for taking notes in class
