Who/What/Where/When

High School students who were in Tolkien last year

This class will work on choosing sources and organizing notes on longer papers. They will do more work on taking notes from lectures. They will take the next step in citing their sources and in putting quotations in their papers. They will write multiple different types of five paragraph essays (narrative, persuasive, descriptive, etc.) . They will work more on the literary devices they learned this year and add in some new ones. They will do a short poetry unit, learn new literary devices, and explore some different types of creative writing.
