High School Literature


Who/What/Where/When

8th to 12th grades

This class will consist of reading assigned classics, in-class projects and discussion, reading comprehension quizzes, and short essays. It will also include a unit on poetry analysis. Weekly homework is required.

Earns 1/2 an English credit, match with any high school writing course for a full English credit

Class meets at my home near Mardel (exact address will be given at registration)

Wednesdays 1:00 – 2:00pm

August 26 – May 5

Costs
  • $35 a month (first month due upon registration/ doubles as non-refundable deposit)
  • (students also taking a writing course will be given a discounted rate)
  • $5 registration/materials fee
  • I accept cash, check and Venmo
  • All deposits are non-refundable
Materials Required
  • 1″ binder with paper OR notebook: for taking notes in class
  • A small notebook: for taking notes while reading
  • pencils/pens
  • ability to type and print regularly
  • ability to check Google Classroom weekly
  • 6 books: (your preference of physical books, digital books or audio books) We will not necessarily read them in this order. Poetry and short stories will be provided by me, you will not need to buy them.
